Renowned as a global hub for the solar PV industry, EXPO Solar ( http://www.exposolar.org ) will come back this year to KINTEX, Korea, from February 3-5, 2010.

EXPO Solar 2009 was the first exhibition dedicated to solar energy in Korea and presented viable solutions to climate change and strategies for green growth. This year's event is organized by the Korea Energy Management Corporation (a Government-owned company under the Ministry of Knowledge Economy of Korea) and supported by a number of global authorities in the field of energy.

Global electronics giants Samsung Electronics and LG Electronics have announced they will start mass-producing their solar cells this year. The active involvement by the two world-class electronics giants in the solar PV business will reshape the global solar PV industry.

Hyundai Heavy Industries, with the largest solar cell production plant in Korea, is now focusing on completing the PV value chain. At EXPO Solar 2010, Hyundai Heavy Industries will announce its two main goals: US$1 billion in sales this year and a key global PV player status by 2014.

More than 300 market-leading names including key local players such as Nexolon, SKC, LST Energy, Dyesoltimo, Jusung Engineering, SFA, AMC, EO Technics, Paru, GNR, D-Solartech and Samyang Reduction Gear, and international market leaders such as Schmalz, Schmid, TEMPRESS, TIGO ENERGY, KLA-Tencor, Synova SA, EFD (a NORDSON company), Coherent, Jonas & Redmann Photovoltaics Production Solutions, Kaco New Energy, NPC, Vector Japan, Trina Solar, Astronergy, ET Solar and C.E.E.G will also be demonstrating their technology breakthroughs at about 800 booths at EXPO Solar 2010.
