Fraikin, the European leader in industrial, utility and commercial vehicle rentals, opened a new sales office in the Spanish capital's wholesale food market, MercaMadrid, on October 1, 2014. With 124 employees throughout the country, Spain is Fraikin's third largest national network after France and Great Britain, and is a vital link in the Group's European presence.

Strong growth in Spain
In early October, Fraikin opened a new sales office in Spain's largest food hub: MercaMadrid. To offer the best fleet management support to its customers, the new office is staffed with three employees, including two hand-picked technical personnel and a sales engineer assigned from within the Group.
"As the creator and leader of long-, medium- and short-term rentals of industrial vehicles in Spain, Fraikin had a duty to be present in the country's largest wholesale food market. We chose this strategic location to be close to a maximum number of customers so that we can give them the best possible service," explains Laurent Bonnaure, Executive Vice President and Member of the Executive Committee, in charge of International Business Development.
With its 12 sales offices, 3 technical facilities, 124 employees and 800 regional customers, Spain contributed more than 52 million euros to Fraikin's sales revenue in 2013. The French group provides services to prestigious Spanish customers such as Ambuibérica, Viva Aquaservice, Madrid Movilidad, DB Schenker, Tot Fres and others.
International growth prospects
With a presence in 10 European countries and Morocco, the Group plans to pursue international growth by opening new sales offices and maintenance facilities beyond Europe's borders. For example, it plans to offer support to its major customers as they evolve from highly local industrial fleet management to a more global and international vision.
